About Me
Hi there! I'm Abby, your backup support for all things baby sleep and beyond! My love for babies began at the birth of my little sister when I was just 7 years old and has grown with every little one I've had the honor of working with! After spending all my free time babysitting as a teenager, I received a Bachelor's degree from Oregon State University (Go Beav's!) in Human Development & Family Sciences, and worked as a career nanny for 8 years.
As I worked with countless children and witnessed the ins and outs of various families and parenting styles, I gained first-hand insight into the common struggles, hardships, and joys of early parenthood. I decided I wanted to support as many family's through this transition as possible and set out to build upon my prior education and experience to provide well-rounded, evidence-based, personalized support to the many families I work with.
Due to my many years working as a nanny, I have a unique perspective and set of experiences. I have worked with various temperaments and personalities (both parents and children), parenting styles, family dynamics, routines, etc. This has allowed me to have a deeper understanding of how vastly different each child and family is and how to cater to various needs.
Due to all of the differences I've witnessed between families, it is important to me to offer customizable support services that can be tailored to each family. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all approaches when it comes to parenting or sleep, and pride myself in the personalized and accommodating support I offer each family.
While I offer various services, my biggest passion is helping parents get the rest they need in a way that feels good to the whole family. The world of baby sleep has become a very controversial and stress-filled place with very strong opinions on both sides. Traditional sleep training methods prioritize the needs and desires of the parents without taking their child’s development into account, while the anti-sleep training community prioritizes infant attachment but disregards the toll that sleep deprivation can take on a parent’s mental and physical health. My support and methods of sleep learning take this all into account, balancing the need for a developmentally-friendly approach that supports baby’s attachment and needs, while also ensuring parents get the rest they need to be present, nurturing, and their best self!
I like to refer to myself as a “Sleep Doula” as I support parents and balance the needs of the whole family. I get to know your family system as a whole- your values, routines, struggles, and goals and create customized solutions that fit your needs. I’m here to hold your hand, be your cheerleader, a shoulder to cry on, confidante, educator, and friend as you navigate the whirlwind of parenthood. I won’t just give you a generic plan and send you on your way, I’ll be there through the whole process!
I live in Seattle, WA with my Fiancé and our crazy dog, Griffey. I offer in-person services to those living in King and Snohomish Counties, and virtual services to those beyond.

“FROM THE MOMENT YOU MEET ABBY YOU CAN SEE HOW PERFECT SHE IS AS A “PARENT DOULA.” SHE IS CALM AND CARING WITH A WARM PRESENCE- THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT WHEN CARING FOR MOTHERS AND CHILDREN. ABBY LISTENS TO YOUR NEEDS AND QUESTIONS FIRST AND THEN IS ABLE TO PROVIDE ANSWERS AND SUPPORT THAT MAKE YOU FEEL HEARD AND ENCOURAGED. SHE IS VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT SHE DOES, AND IT SHOWS."

"MY HUSBAND AND I WORKED WITH ABBY FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR, SHORTLY AFTER OUR FIRST CHILD WAS BORN. SHE WAS AN ENERGETIC, COMPASSIONATE, RESPONSIBLE, AND LOVING CAREGIVER WHO TRULY ENJOYS CHILDREN. ABBY COMES WITH A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES THAT WAS HELPFUL FOR US AS FIRST TIME PARENTS (AND ME DURING MY POSTPARTUM RECOVERY). ABOVE ALL ELSE, OUR YOUNG DAUGHTER WAS ALWAYS WELL CARED FOR, SAFE, AND HAPPY TO BE WITH ABBY AND WE WOULD RECOMMEND HER DOULA SERVICES TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL POSTPARTUM SUPPORT PERSON AS THEY NAVIGATE THE OVERWHELMING EARLY DAYS OF PARENTHOOD."

You often hear about labor and deliver doulas, but less often do you hear about a postpartum doula. As new parents, we found this to be exceptionally helpful while finding our daily rhythm as new parents. As a new mother, I found it to be the extra layer of support and care I needed to feel at peace amongst big change, while also physically healing from delivery. Abby is nurturing in her approach as a doula, and a resourceful wealth of knowledge. She leans in with compassion, she stays curious, and truly advocates for momma and baby. Abby never pushes agenda, she provides helpful insight and leaves you feeling understood. She is a treasure to have around and in your corner! You will find yourself parting with a new best friend as well.. ??
